SUPEREXTRA

After two years of working with producer Paul Catania and Ezequiel Suárez, Argentine Rockers Superextra released their third studio album in November 2011 entitled Río Perdido (meaning Lost River) named after one of the tracks on the album which then was combined with a 3-chapter film project, also named Río Perdido.
From the album also emerged delightful tunes such as Footprints, Granbang, Lights, and Passenger. During the script writing process for the Rio Perdido music video, one story detached from a corner, under a director's original script, which was born as an idea for the video but then ended up being a full length feature film. The eponymous film, was shot under the great direction of the project creator, director and writer, Ismael Naim in the Basque country.
It was produced in Europe (País Vasco) and so far the band has released two of the three chapters.

"Since the release we have been playing live some special versions of the songs on the album, along with the projected images of the film, synchronized with real dialogues and sounds of the movie and live performances of the actual actors…some pretty complicated shit to hook up but it's all worth it in the end!" Superextra's vocalist & Guitarist Ezequiel Suárez laughed.

"We played one night per month, at a very nice venue here in Buenos Aires, called Podestá, that finally became kind of art bunker for us. We were invited to play this heterogeneous live format for the whole year in 2011. The whole process was really exhausting and after doing it, even though the outcome was 200% positive with an excellent reception for this weird live format which also caught the attention of some media, the band decided to take it easy this year and start composing for a new record." Ezequiel added.
